We have been working with Hotek since 2013. Apart from the fact that it is a well-known name in the hotel market, the pleasant relationship with Hotek, its competitive price and the ease with which its installation team transforms a mechanical lock into an electronic lock meet the standard we apply as Kloeg Collection. Over the years we have developed a close working relationship with the Hotek team, who always aim to achieve the best result.
From the initial inventory to installation and after-sales service, everything happens at Hotek. Thermae 2000 was established in 1989 as a spa on the Cauberg in the tourist village of Valkenburg aan de Geul. Gradually, other recreational facilities were added and the heated thermal pools were increasingly used by day visitors. In 1993, a 4-star hotel was even built for tourists. In 2010, Thermae 2000 created a lifestyle department that advises and guides guests on nutrition, exercise and relaxation, both physically and mentally. Thermae 2000 is literally a source of good living.
Thermae 2000 has been working with Hotek for over 10 years. First with the magnetic card system, and since 2021 with the CLASSIC RFID Mifare keycard system, in combination with integration with PMS Hotelconcepts and also X-plan. Thermae 2000 chose Hotek (again) because of its good past experiences. The decisive factor for Thermae 2000 was that the RFID guest cards, which have been used in saunas for years, could also be used as hotel room keys. Thus, badges in their company are a thing of the past. They are also satisfied with Hotek's contribution and the ease of use of the locks and safes.
Thermae2000 is satisfied with the solution offered. "The service, speed and accessibility have always been there" (according to Väös Rosier). They have also been thinking along with us. For a few weeks now, they have also been using the latest STAR RFID safes in all rooms, which can also be opened with the same RFID wristband that is already in use in the hotel and wellness centre.
In addition to the Hotek locks and Be Dutch accessories, Thermae2000 also uses Do-not-Disturb panels in the hotel rooms. For the hotelier, this is a clear and modern way of indicating room numbers, for the cleaning staff, a solution that allows them to see at a glance whether the room can be cleaned, and for the guest, a very user-friendly solution.
Finally, Thermae sees the future of the hotel industry, with regard to the mobile key and online check-in, as follows:

Hotel At Sea is a newly opened boutique hotel in the seaside resort of Zandvoort.
After a complete renovation, the entire hotel was taken over. Right from the start we were given the freedom to think about the concept and the feeling we wanted to give our guests.
We wanted to create a luxury boutique hotel and we looked for the best partners for this. Due to the significant seasonal changes, we opted for a hotel where everyone feels at home. Both the family with young children who go to the beach for a few days in the summer and the couples who come for a breath of fresh air in the winter.
As this is a new hotel, they were able to design the entire infrastructure according to our own wishes. They opted for Hotek card readers, but preparations have already been made to switch to GuestKey in the future. This was done in close consultation with Hotek. In addition to the door system, they have equipped the hotel rooms with refrigerators, safes, kettles, luggage racks, door fittings and toilet accessories.
The reason they chose Hotek is that Hotek is a well-known name in the field of access systems. The advice given during the project was helpful. It was also nice that when something was unclear, there was an immediate response. Besides Hotek, there were other suppliers. Hotek appeared to be the best party for us, the one that matched our ambitions.
The project went smoothly; we had to reschedule the delivery regularly. Hotek was flexible and adapted to our schedule.
After completion, there were still some questions, but they were answered immediately and correctly by Hotek. Overall, the project went well, with the quality of service and humour being Hotek's greatest asset.

The hotel has been working with Hotek since shortly after starting its operations in 2003 and has also been using Your Mobile Key since 2020.
They chose Hotek on the recommendation of a colleague: "Hotek is also present in the Benelux and has proven to be a loyal business partner: always accessible with a very fast service".
‘The process went well and smoothly. Hotek has always acted very promptly and is extremely responsive, both when problems arise and when new collaborations are involved. They discovered Your Mobile Key through a webinar that was organised as a product presentation. There is currently no integration with a PMS, but this will be available soon. “Our PMS Lobbi/ManCloud has worked closely with Hotek in recent years on an integration between the PMS and Your Mobile Key. We have not yet had the chance to try this out, but we are already looking forward to the efficiency this synergy will bring in 2022.”

This will become an incredibly powerful aspect, as it will not only allow us to serve the customer better, but also significantly optimise processes. This is certainly important in a market where costs continue to rise (read: mainly labour costs). We are heading toward a future where we can achieve more with less. I believe that front-desk operations will no longer remain an independent department on their own: the traditional receptionist will disappear. We are a group of 6 Van der Valk hotels, located between Leeuwarden and Haarlem. The hotels are visited by all kinds of guests, from young to old, and for both business and private reasons.
We have been working with Hotek for over 20 years. The first project was an old-fashioned lock conversion and the first new construction project was the Van der Valk Hotel Wolvega in 2005. The reason we chose Hotek is based on the personal motivation of Dolf Mulder, the owner of Hotek.
With every project we have done together, Hotek has been involved from start to finish as a partner who thinks along and always delivers what is promised. Hotek is customer-focused, innovative and reliable.
In addition to the hotel locks from Hotek, the range of in-room supplies is also used. Examples include minibars, safes and other room accessories.
The future of technology in the hotel industry, according to Martin:
